Geography of Greece
The landscape of Ancient Greece was full of mountains. Some areas were close to water. Along the side of Greece, were approximately 1,400 islands. It was very hard to grow crops, such as olives, celery, and beans. The summers were long, hot, and dry, while the winters were short, and also dry. The climate in Greece was overall very dry. This is a little bit about Greece.
The landscape of the mountains affected the people because it was hard to start a civilization, because of the mountains and many hills. Also, because of the mountainous terrain, Ancient Greeks didn't really get a chance to trade. It was a difficult task. It was also difficult to farm because Ancient Greeks didn't have enough space to grow crops. All the crops wouldn't have the food and space to live and grow. This is why the landscape affected many of the Ancient Greeks.
